WebCast Recap

We had around 185 in person and 40 online participants from all over Canada, the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Note: We had major technical problems with the sound due to the cable that ran from the main sound system to the laptop that was running the webcast.

The live event had impeccable sound due to the excellent crew who made it perfect for attendees.

We humbly apologize to our online participants for our more amateur offering to you.

WEBCAST GUEST BOOK

Hilary Pope: Thank you for being able to share with you all the wonderful tributes. He was an inspiration for so many people.

Keith Dumont & Janet Finlayson: Unfortunately we couldn’t attend, but what a wonderful experience to share Al’s memorial through this live cast. As old Montreal friends, we loved hearing the stories that were shared today and recalling our good times with Alan. Keith fondly recalls cruising for burgers at A&W in Al’s white tornado (Ford Falcon) on the West Island of Montreal. We were especially touched to hear about the abiding connections Al has made throughout his life. What an inspirational friend, husband and grandfather.

doug palmer: Thank you all for a wonderful confirmation of the love that Alan spread and received throughout. The ripples will carry it on and on.

George: Thank you, Alan, for your light, your gentleness and your belief in a better world. I’ll carry your memory and example with me as I journey on. Sending love to Susan, Stacey, Adrian and the whole family.

Isaline: Dearest Alan, Listening in to all these stories about your life, has been a treasure. I’m tuning in from Belgium and feeling ever more connected to you and Susan. Alan, you were a wonder of a man, a truly beautiful soul. Your ripples are felt all the way here in my heart, forever. Feeling your hug through time. Love to you, Izzy

Anne-Marie Guedon: It is so touching to be able to remember him this way. He was such a lovely human and this celebration reflects his kind soul.

Heather Davis: Big love

Tom Kaemmer: Many great memories.

Philip Spidle: Thank you for having a space for those of us who couldn’t make it to share people’s experiences of such a wonderful person.

Judith: Wishing I could join you in person. Such a special person – I miss him in so many ways

Tia Leschke: There in spirit

Susan Richardson: Sending love to Susan, Stacey and Adrian, their families and all Alan’s family and many friends. xo

Hilary Pope: Thinking of you all while you celebrate the life of a wonderful man.

Robert Arthur: It was such a sad day I learned about Alan’s passing. I still can’t believe it. We had such good times, sitting in waterfalls, picking blueberries, attending men’s group meetings, potlucks, walking and swimming in Tofino. Showing Alan and Sue around York, UK. Helping after heart surgery. I will miss him greatly.
